This series of works are the series that led me directly onto my wire work. I wanted to give my work movement and expression directly related to its linier construction. These monochromes are essentially drawings carved into oil paint. Whereas in the wire works the lines are liberated from the paint to which they are imprisoned. These works also announce a new approach in subject matter. I could feel my work progressing towards perspectives that hadn't bee explored hitherto.
