Fydo a perdu son os" is one of the first works where I under took working with wire, resin, sand, wood, anything that I could get to create an image without any support. I wanted to break away from old way of doing things and find something new and dynamic. When I began working in this way I suddenly found myself in the tableau or the tableau out and about. Fragile lines, empty spaces, mass colour, all married into one to depict an image of secret emotion. I found that I could play with space changing signification and sense, language extended into diversity and the undertones were exposed. A scene like "fydo" try’s to treat the fragile relation that exist between mans nature and desire. Here the man is actively stimulating the woman who is bashfully poised in reserve. The man is lightly clad in a marcell, symbol of Mediterranean machismo virility, strength etc. but the signification here also implies hides part , secrecy, mystery, all of that which is held in the unknown. Contrary to this nature the woman is exposed in all her fragility with only her own nature to protect herself, generous and reserved her armour is impenetrable for she has closed the doors to her soul (the eyes) and nobody can gain entrance as long as she hides in the mysterious wilderness of her own contemplation. The form on which they sit represents bodies mingling together in the intercourse of harmonious union. They become one again with no contrary and as if magic are transformed into a comfortable sofa on to which others may come and regenerate themselves in there turn. The tv is the external influences penetrating into the privacy of this scene. It has no influence over the goings on but like a mirror reflects what it sees. The dog fydo is aware of this intrusion and is trying to protect his masters, unfortunately the masters activity doesn’t allow for any distraction, they are expressing their natures. The title of this tableau "Fydo a perdu son os" is the expression of this distraction. All of the above goings on in one image space which can only be read initially as a bang on the sofa. It is only when you have the inherent information concerning the elements can you esteem if you have found the bone or not.
