"Avec le bien et le mal" is another one of Odhràns accumulative drawings which I've have picked up here and there. It seemed to me quite natural to place the image of a little boy smiling with out stretched arms holding two monsters, one happy representing good and the other cross representing bad. In this way the child keeps his equilibrium creating a protective shield around its self in which development functions in harmony with existence. The dunces hat represents ignorance of the path on which we walk. Only the equilibrium to which we hold can protect us from falling.
